Q: Do you cover the whole of the UK?

We cover GB mainland — England, Scotland and Wales. Each postcode area has a regular collection day, and we deliver into all the same postcode areas.

Q: Why do collection and delivery happen on different days?

We run a one-day-per-postcode schedule so we can keep prices competitive. Your collection day is set by the pickup postcode area, your delivery day by the dropoff postcode area. If both ends share the same postcode area, we collect and deliver the same day.

Q: Can I book a specific day that doesn't match my postcode's regular day?

Yes — an off-day move attracts a ×1.5 surcharge on the full price. Tick the off-day box in the booking form to pick any working day.

How is the price calculated?

Price = piano weight in kg (£1 per kg) + distance in miles (£1 per mile) + insurance (£1 per £1,000 of declared value) + steps (£5 per step for digital, £10 for upright, £15 for grand). Minimum £125. The full breakdown is shown live in the booking form before you pay.

Do you cover the whole of the UK?

We cover GB mainland — England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are not currently in the online booking schedule — email bookings@pianospeed.com for a manual quote.

Do you tune the piano after the move?

Tuning isn't included in the standard booking price. Pianos almost always need a tune after a move; we can recommend a local tuner or arrange one for you on request.
